मायबोली पिछाडीवर ः इंग्रजी माध्यमाच्या शाळांमध्ये वेगाने वाढ
पुण्यातील स्थिती ः 305 प्रस्तावांपैकी मराठीचे केवळ 98 प्रस्ताव
मुंबईपाठोपाठ आता पुण्यातही मराठी माध्यमाच्या शाळांची अवस्था दयनीय होण्यासारखी स्थिती निर्माण झाली आहे. येत्या शैक्षणिक वर्षात नव्या शाळा सुरू करण्यासाठी आलेल्या प्रस्तावांवरून मराठी माध्यमाच्या शाळांची संख्या किती रोडावणार आहे याची पुरेशी कल्पना येते.
पुणे जिल्हा परिषदेकडे आलेल्या 305 प्रस्तावांमध्ये केवळ 98 प्रस्ताव मराठी माध्यमाच्या शाळांचे आहेत. टक्‍क्‍यांमध्ये बोलायचे तर हे प्रमाण फक्त 32.13 आहे.इंग्रजी माध्यमाच्या शाळांना मात्र खूपच चांगले दिवस आहेत. 305 पैकी तब्बल 200 प्रस्ताव इंग्रजी माध्यमाचे आहेत. उर्दू माध्यमाच्या शाळेसाठी दोन प्रस्ताव आले आहेत.
नवीन प्राथमिक व माध्यमिक शाळांसाठी अर्ज दाखल करण्याचा आज शेवटचा दिवस होता. इंग्रजी शाळांच्या प्रस्तावाचे प्रमाण 65.57 टक्के, तर मराठीसाठी हे प्रमाण 32.13 इतके आहे. महापालिका व जिल्हा परिषदेच्या शाळा सोडून विद्यार्थी अन्य खासगी शाळांमध्ये जात असल्यामुळे या शाळांचे वर्ग रिकामे पडण्याची अवस्था असताना, नव्याने शाळा सुरू करण्यासाठी शिक्षण संस्थाचालक पुढे सरसावले आहेत. अर्थाच हे सर्व प्रस्ताव कायम विनाअनुदान तत्त्वावर आले आहेत.
आठ वर्षांपूर्वी अनुदानित शाळांना परवानगी बंद करून कायमस्वरूपी विनाअनुदानित शाळांना मान्यता देण्याचा निर्णय घेण्यात आला होता. अशा शाळांना मान्यता देताना दोन शाळांमधील अंतर, विद्यार्थ्यांची संख्या याबाबतचे सरकारचे बहुतांश नियम धाब्यावर बसवून शाळांच्या मान्यतेची खैरात सुरू झाली. त्याचा परिणाम जुन्या शाळांतील विद्यार्थिसंख्येवर झाला. त्यानंतर गेली दोन वर्षे नवीन शाळांना सरकारने मान्यता दिली नव्हती.

जे करण्याने आपली आर्थिक स्थिती सुधारेल ते करणे हे प्रत्येकाचे ध्येय असते व त्यात काही गैर आहे असे म्हणता येणार नाही. इंग्रजी भाषेवर प्रभुत्व असल्यास आपल्याला नोकरीच्या व व्यवसायाच्या अनेक संधी उपलब्ध होतात हे आज या देशातील कटू सत्य आहे व हे खेड्यातील माणसाला समजले आहे. अमेरिका हा जगातील अत्यंत शक्तीमान व श्रीमंत देश आहे. व त्या देशाची भाषा इंग्रजी आहे. शिवाय इंग्लड, कॅनडा व आस्ट्रेलिया या समृद्ध देशांचीही तीच भाषा आहे. केवल मराठीवर प्रभुत्व असणार्‍यांचे कार्यक्षेत्र महाराष्ट्रापुरते सीमित राहील. ज्यांची महत्वाकांक्षा मोठी आहे त्याना इंग्रजीवर प्रभुत्व मिळवणे अनिवार्य आहे. अशी परिस्थीती केवळ आपल्याच देशात आहे असे नव्हे. जगातील सर्वच देशात आपल्या मात्रृभाषेइतकेच इंग्रजी भाषेला प्राधान्य दिले जात आहे.

Lets look at it. WHere do we stay? INDIA. Who come to solve our problems? We outselves. Who pays for taxes of government of INDIA? We ourselves. Who can save INDIA? We ourselves!
I mean so to say, USA/UK/West is all set to divide INDIA so that divided India in the name of Caste (which is done till today in west and europe, UK), non-sense issues like Arranged-Marriage? Do you eat meat? Are you HINDU? India POOR Country? SLUMS? AIDS (BIG POLITICS), TB (BIG Politics),
ALL THESE NGO FUNDED SCHOOLS - ST Mary, ST Vincents, ST what not.... they are worried for their funds. ALL THESE SCHOOLS RUN by MOTHERS-FATHERS will never consider teaching your kids good manners, real and proud history of SHivaji, Rana Pratap, Tilak, Sardar Patel, Savarkar, Gokhale, etc.
Instead they will glorify MOTHER TERESA, ALL THE GOVERNERS of BRITISH EMPIRE, Geroges and Queens and British people, Nehru and Gandhi, and most of these looted INDIA and the wealth of INDIA.
WHO CARES OF UN? USA DOES NOT CARE WHEN ITS BOmbing IRAQ, AFGHANASTAN. Isreal does not care when its bombing Gaza Strip and Siria, WHY SHOULD INDIA CARE? To get a pat on back from USA/UK?
SO INDIA SHOULD be educated in what to choose, and INDIA can be best thought in local language than western language!
Marathi will be there till the end of this universe....

So you think you can communicate with your post with the people around the world because India invented internet or the personal computer or chips that run the computer or silicon transistor that drive the chips? Forget that BS taught to you in school 'Mera bharat mahan' , grow up, open your eyes and look around. Perhaps the chinese think 'mera china mahan', the koreans 'mera korea mahan' and so on. India is leader in only one field : corruption...and may be producing more children!!!
It is the innocent believers like you that vote for crooked politicians telling you that India will become superpower in such and such year...Don't you first want to give everyone drinking water, drainage, electricity , health-care and education?
Nobody wants to pollute India with anything...We Indians are doing a great job in that field ourselves, look at your air, water or land pollution. Nobody is stopping you from cleaning it up. Westeners did not introduce caste system. Stop blaming others for you own stupidity. If enough people stood up with Lokmanya Tilak or Sawarkar, we could have actually won the freedom from the British much sooner. Instead the British smartly chose to make Gandhi a noble man because he was no threat to them. But those who were real threat like Tilak or Sawarkar were sent to Mandalay and Andmaan. I don't remember having read in history that Gandhiji said to the Brits that leave by August 15 1947 or else...and they left. No. In fact they left on their own, may be under pressure from other countries after world war II but screwed us permanently by creating pakistan and leaving Kashmir hanging. I still can't figure out why Gandhiji was a Mahatma but it's ok to remove Sawarkar's statue from Andmaan?
