पुण्यातील 22 पुतळे तातडीने हलविणार
यादी तयारः सात दिवसांत पालिका कार्यवाही करणार
वाहतुकीस अडथळा ठरणारे बावीस पुतळे तातडीने हलविण्याची गरज असून, त्याची यादी प्रशासनाने तयार केली आहे. या पुतळ्यांचे स्थलांतर करण्यासाठी जागा निश्‍चित करण्याचे काम येत्या सात दिवसांत करण्यात येणार असल्याची माहिती विरोधी पक्षनेते विकास मठकरी यांनी गुरुवारी दिली.
महापौर राजलक्ष्मी भोसले यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली पक्षनेत्यांची बैठक झाली. त्यामध्ये रस्त्यावर असलेल्या पुतळ्यांच्या स्थलांतर करण्याच्या विषयावर चर्चा झाली. गेल्या महिन्यात सर्वसाधारण सभेत पुतळे हलविण्याच्या विषयावरून चर्चा झाली होती. त्यामध्ये महापौरांच्या अध्यक्षतेखाली समिती स्थापन करण्याचा निर्णय झाला होता.
दरम्यान, गुरुवारी झालेल्या बैठकीत रस्त्यावरील 22 पुतळे तातडीने हलविण्याची आवश्‍यकता असल्याचे प्रशासनाने सांगितले. मात्र, हे पुतळे एकाच ठिकाणी हलविण्यास काही सदस्यांचा विरोध आहे. त्यामुळे या पुतळे स्थलांतर करण्यासाठी त्या ठिकाणी; परंतु वाहतुकीस अडथळा ठरणार नाही, अशा जागा शोधण्यात याव्यात. तशी जागा उपलब्ध न झाल्यास त्या परिसरातील बागेत हलविता येतील का, याबाबतचा अहवाल तयार करून सात दिवसांत सादर करावा, अशा सूचना या वेळी देण्यात आल्या असल्याचेही मठकरी यांनी सांगितले.

Sena demands scrapping of Moitree Express

MUMBAI: Shiv Sena on Friday demanded scrapping of the new Kolkata-Dhaka Moitree Express on the ground that it would be misused by terrorists.
In an editorial in the party mouthpiece Saamna , it alleged that Bangladesh was now under the influence of Pakistan's ISI.
"This state (Bangladesh), which came into existence with the help of India, is now more close to Pakistan than India and hence it would be misused by the terrorists and anti-national elements to foment trouble in India," it said.
The editorial said that till now, infiltrators from Bangladesh used to come surreptitiously from across the border. But by opening the rail route they will come openly into India and create problems.
The train has been started by the Railways to step up people-to-people contact between India and Bangladesh.
Terming the Railways decision to start Moitree Express as "an attempt to appease the minorities", Saamna alleged the decision was an "ill-conceived move" as several parts of India are already burdened by the influx of Bangladeshi migrants.
For instance, most parts of Assam are full of Bangladeshis and in more than seven districts, it is they who decide the outcome of elections. Similarly, they are also found in large numbers in Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland, the editorial alleged.
In Maharashtra also they are present in large numbers posing a big problem, the edit added.
